Welcome to ITCS Cambodia!
Greetings all in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. On behalf of ITCS faculty members, I am pleased to welcome you to International Theological College and Seminary, Cambodia [hereafter call it as ITCS] from my deepest heart.
Since its establishment of the year of Fall, 2008, ITCS has served the Churches at the various mission fields in Asia by preparing their Christian leaders such as pastors, teachers, and missionaries through the diverse programs of College, Seminary, and Pastoral education solely based on the authority of the inerrant and sufficient Word of God and committed to practice the principles of the traditional Reformed Faith from the 16th century of Reformation. The ITCS emphatically stands firm with the urgent issue of defending the truth of the Scripture not only against the teachings of the heathen religions but also against the teachings of Modernism [Liberalism] and Secularism around the Churches in Asia, remembering the warning of, arguably, one of the greatest Reformed Christian leader since John Calvin, Abraham Kuyper, saying.
There is no doubt then that Christianity is imperiled by great and serious dangers. Two life systems are wrestling with one another, in mortal combat. Modernism is bound to build a world of its own from the data of the natural man, and to construct man himself from the data of nature; while, on the other hand, all those who reverently bend the knee to Christ and worship Him as the Son of the living God, and God himself, are bent upon saving the “Christian Heritage.” This is the struggle in Europe, this is the struggles in America, and this also, is the struggles for principles in which my own country [now many countries in Asia- emphasis is mine] is engaged, and in which I myself have been spending all my energy for nearly forty years. In Calvinism [Reformed Faith] I have drawn the inspiration firmly and resolutely to take my stand in the thick of this great conflict of principles (Lecture on Calvinism, 11).
Therefore, ITCS will provide those professors who are faithfully committed to defend the Reformed principles of the truth of the Scripture against the modern trend of secular system of life and tries to help the students to uphold the only truth of the Scripture in the all the areas of our lives. After being educated in ITCS, the students should be ready to serve the Lord for His glory, knowing what they face in this contemporary, no matter where they may go and no matter what they may face. ITCS will train the students to be confident Christian soldiers in the 21th century of the Spiritual Warfare.
Another emphatical education of ITCS is faithfully to fulfill the practical implementation of various missions in Asia, following and obeying the Great Commission in Matthew 28: 18-20. The Church planting and mission implementation have been very important parts of ITCS education program. Not only the student will learn the knowledge of God through the biblical and theological studies, but also they will know how to implement those knowledge from their studies to the various mission fields. ITCS strongly emphasizes on the practical perspective of the diverse ministries in the Asia mission field, after understanding normative perspective of the Scriptural views over the purpose of our lives for His glory.
For its glorious purpose, ITCS was strategically located in the middle of Asia where the perspective Church leaders from all areas of Asian countries may have an advantage easily to access to ITCS for their necessary education. ITCS also helps the students, for sharing the financial burden to live and to get the education, through providing various scholarships to the needy applicants. ITCS offers an affordable educational opportunity for biblical and theological study to those perspective Asian leaders who desire to learn the proper knowledge of the ministry and mission. ITCS wants to accommodate the students from every classes of the Christians in every country in Asia. ITCS is committed to help the perspective Church leaders in every aspect of life for their proper education in ITCS.
If you are called by God to serve Him, then we are ready to serve you with the riches of traditional Reformed Faith by the faithful teachings of the competent Reformed Scholars who are committed to their entire life to the Christ-mission. Therefore, I warmly invite you to ITCS from my deepest heart, without any doubt, I urge you to know that your investment of the time and energy at ITCS should not be gone in vain, rather, should create a tremendous asset for your future ministry. I am more than confident that you would be pleased with what to learn and how to serve from the education of ITCS. Particularly if you are serious about Asia mission, I recommend you to visit our campus in Cambodia, you will have a wonderful experience of Cambodia mission and understand the perspective of the mission.
